Kids need healthy food in their lunch

Fresh fruit in you kids lunch is very important, as most of my friends know I am very interested in eating healthy. I do also enjoy my sweets (definitely a sweet tooth or two). I appreciate a good salad and homemade food. I started thinking about processed foods and had to ask my husband what we had in the house that was processed.  The best thing he could come up with was cheese I never really thought of cheese as being processed, but I do have a jar of that con queso cheese sauce in my fridge. For some reason that is one processed item I don't mind eating. Yes it grosses me out to think about it, but hey I don't eat fast food unless you count teriyaki as fast food.

So getting back to kids and lunch....I like to pack fresh fruit in my daughters lunch. She likes all kinds of fruit including kiwi (something I never tried) grapes, apples, and strawberries.   I pack one of these in her lunch from time to time with a note on the back letting her know how much I love her, or I am thinking about her right now, or how amazing she is.  Just a little reminder.   These fresh strawberries notes  fit nicely in a lunch bag without getting squished.

These fun fresh picked strawberries are approx. 3 1/4" tall you could even bling them up with a glitter pen.  Just a thought....  :) Family is the most important thing in our lives and we have to remember that we as parents teach guide and grow our future!
